Pheil: Down the rabbit hole

It's a universal feeling we all experience at one point or another (and some of us more often than others): Sometimes it feels like there just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done we need to do.

Taskrabbit.com is a genius idea that allows you to outsource small tasks and errands to people in your community. If there's something you need help with, whether it's doing your laundry or being a designated driver, there's probably someone in the community that would do it for the right price.

Moving? There are people willing to do everything from the heavy lifting to assembling your new IKEA furniture.

Planning a wedding? Hire a "Taskrabbit" to help you research venues, pick up flowers, run a photo booth, or even bartend on the big day.

TaskRabbit might not solve unemployment, but it does connect people who need a little help with others willing to help (and who have had their backgrounds checked).

Unfortunately (and as you've likely already figured out if you've lived in Summit County for a while), this service isn't yet available in our area.

It's actually only available in a handful of U.S. cities right now, so if you have a task or errand that requires somebody be here in town, you might be better off posting an ad on Craigslist (although unlike TaskRabbit, Craigslist helpers don't come with a background check).

If you so desire though, you can sign-up on the TaskRabbit.com website to be notified when the service comes to town.
