socialsummit@summitdaily.com
On Saturday, June 27, dogs and their owners were welcomed to Copper Mountain Resort for a day full of dog-friendly activities at the second-annual Copper’s Gone to the Dogs. The day kicked off at 8:30 a.m. with registration for the Ruff Wear 5K fun run around Copper, with race time at 10 a.m.
The remainder of the day included live music from the Blue Dogs and Aaron Burdett Band, an adopt-a-dog showcase and various dog demonstrations in the Dog Gone Vendor Village. The nationally recognized DockDogs showed off their best tricks into a pool in Burning Stones Plaza in Center Village, and pups and their owners took part in yappy hour specials at Incline Bar and Grill and Alpinista Mountain Bistro.
All proceeds raised benefitted League for Animals and People of Summit. Learn more about this and other events at Copper Mountain at http://www.copper colorado.com.
