Ten little stuffed critters piled onto a sled with a caribou at the helm for a fun lesson in counting that fit the snow theme for story time at the South Branch library in Breckenridge on Wednesday, Feb. 25. Local musician Randall McKinnon led children in songs about snowmen and marshmallow moose, and library staff and volunteers read picture books to the crowd of enthralled kids, wrapping up the morning adventure with a snack, an activity and hand-crafted paper mittens.

Preschool story time takes place at the South Branch, located at 103 S. Harris St. in Breckenridge, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m.; at the Main Branch, located in the County Commons Building at 0037 County Road 1005 in Frisco, on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.; and at the North Branch, 651 Center Circle in Silverthorne, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Each week has a different theme.
