Victim identified in fatal hit-and-run crash in Breckenridge

After notifying her family, the Summit County Coroner’s office released the identity of the victim of Monday’s fatal hit-and-run crash. Christina Martinez Hernandez, a 26-year-old Breckenridge resident, died late Monday night. She was found to the side of Airport Road, near the intersection of Rankin Avenue.

Breckenridge police and Red, White & Blue staff responded to the scene at 11 p.m., attempted resuscitation and cleared the scene around 11:40 p.m. Police are searching for a suspect at this time.

The Breckenridge Police Department is seeking information on an individual who met with the suspect around 11 p.m. following the fatal crash in the Muncheez/Breck Organic Therapy parking lot, located at 1900 Airport Road.
