Afer you raise your glass to a great day on the slopes, almost nothing beats sipping a steamy and seasonal libation. Try to make these warming drinks on your own, or stop by a local watering hole to have the experts whip up some crafty concoctions for you and your après ski crew.

APRÈS WARM UP

From Après Handcrafted Libations in Breckenridge

1 oz. Breckenridge Bourbon

1/2 oz. 291 Decc Citrus Clove liquor

1/4 oz. pure maple syrup

Dash of Angostura Bitters

Top with Pablo’s Danger Monkey coffee

Garnish with a lemon twist

Bourbon, coffee and clove, oh my! The flavor varieties in this Après Warm Up make for a complex, yet very well-rounded, cocktail. The clove liquor, with a little bit of maple syrup, creates Christmas in your mug, and the coffee and bitters add in a mischievous kick.

“The clove liqueur, bourbon and maple syrup combine to make a uniquely fabulous taste, the best warm up drink in town,” said Aprés co-founder Donna Laboy.

THE DARK OF NIGHT

From Après Handcrafted Libations in Breckenridge

1 1/2 oz. Asbach Brandy

1 tsp. cocoa mix

Pumpkin spice syrup

Top with “pumpkin foam” (pumpkin flavored whipped cream)

Pumpkin never seems to get old, even after all the autumn leaves fall. Add in a little brandy, and some chocolate, too, for a winter winner.

“The combination of the chocolate and pumpkin spice set off the warming qualities of the brandy,” explained Laboy said.

WINTER’S COMING

From Breckenridge Distillery

1 1/2 oz. Breckenridge Bourbon

2 oz. Psycho Billie’s sarsaparilla syrup

2 oz. vanilla milk

Top with maple pecan whipped cream foam

Garnish with salted caramel

“Psycho Billie’s Syrups are hand-made cocktail simple syrups made by Billie herself,” said Grace Gabree, marketing coordinator for Breckenridge Distillery. “Billie is our house mixologist, or ‘liquid chef’ as we like to call her.”

Gabree said Billie’s handcrafted syrups have become so popular that the mixologist is going to soon sell Psycho Billie’s Syrups to the public, so anyone can make their own creative cocktails.

R2TEA2

From Breckenridge Distillery

1 1/2 oz. Breckenridge Vodka

Juice of half a lemon

Teakoe Slopeside Spiced Plum tea

Top with frozen green tea ice cream

Lemon zest

Find refreshment and decadence with this warming cocktail, made with tea and vodka, and topped with ice cream.

“All of Breckenridge Distillery’s products are made with clean, crisp, Rocky Mountain snowmelt water,” Gabree shared. “The high-mineral content in the water makes all our products have a smooth mouthfeel and a clean, refreshing finish.”

HARVEST COFFEE

From Après Handcrafted Libations in Breckenridge

Pablo’s Danger Monkey coffee

Pumpkin spice syrup to taste

Dash of simple syrup

Top with whipped cream

Get a buzz from beans with this coffee and pumpkin spice-inspired “mocktail” from Après Handcrafted Libations, located at 130 South Main Street in Breckenridge. The flavors of sweet and spice create a familiar seasonal flare, with an added bitter edge from Pablo’s Danger Monkey Coffee.
