Warming Hut introduces locally grown produce
New this summer, The Warming Hut in Breckenridge has acquired two of the 40 plots of land in the Breckenridge Community Garden and will be growing many of its own herbs and greens, including Swiss chard, kale, arugula and more.
To celebrate the new garden’s offerings, The Warming Hut will host another dinner in its popular Supper Club series, the Hut Garden Supper Club, on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. The four-course dinner with wine pairings is $55 per person, with an emphasis on greens grown in the restaurant’s plots at the Community Garden, as well as its on-property herb garden box. The Warming Hut will promote fresh, seasonal menu items, including spinach and leek cheesecake, summer gazpacho and more, paired with light summer wines.
The restaurant patio is also doubling in size this year, adding as many as 12 dining spots, as well as life-size Jenga games and cornhole boards designed by Colorado Ski Chair. The Warming Hut, located at 207 N. Main St. in Breckenridge, reopened for the summer June 6, with lunch, happy hour and dinner six days a week, Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant will be closed most Mondays, with the exception of special events and holidays.

Ed Fest comes to Edwards in August
The fourth annual Ed Fest, brought to Edwards by the team at Crazy Mountain Brewery, will celebrate international craft beer culture with more than 40 craft breweries pouring microbrews from around the world on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Ed Fest features gourmet bites from local restaurants and food trucks, wares from Colorado purveyors and live music by the North Mississippi Allstars. The event benefits the Eagle Valley Land Trust, a local nonprofit dedicated to conserving and protecting Eagle Valley’s natural spaces.
Events will be held at the Freedom Park soccer fields at WECMRD at 0450 Miller Ranch Road in Edwards. On Friday, Aug. 15, there will be a VIP farm-to-table food and specialty rare beer event, featuring beers from selected participating Ed Fest breweries from 6 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 16, Ed Fest runs from 3 to 6 p.m. for the beer tasting and 6 to 10 p.m. for the concert.
General admission tickets are $39 for presale or $49 at the door and include a souvenir tasting cup, access to the unlimited beer sampling from 3 to 6 p.m. and entry to all live music acts. VIP presale tickets are $79 and include Ed Fest admission and a souvenir tasting cup, access to a VIP tent with private bar, private restroom, complimentary light buffet, side stage viewing area, misting system, seating and shade and admission to the VIP farm-to-table food and specialty rare beer event.

Steamboat Wine Festival debuts Beer-B-Q
Fire up the grills and crack open a cold one. Two American classics converge this summer at the Steamboat Wine Festival’s newest event, “Beer-B-Q.”
On Saturday, Aug. 9, explore the world of barbecue and craft beer with none other than the world-renowned chefs of Rex’s. They’ll show off their grilling skills as brewers from Colorado’s famous craft breweries showcase a wide range of delicious beers and styles. And just like any true barbecue, live music will keep the party hopping through the evening. The 21-and-older Beer-B-Q runs from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Torian Plum Plaza, and tickets are $75. “Mountain chic attire” is recommended.
The event is one of just dozens of events at the Steamboat Wine Festival, Wednesday, Aug. 6, through Sunday, Aug. 10. Leading chefs, sommeliers and brewers from around the world will lead food and wine tastings, bike rides, hikes, golf outings and much more — all amid Steamboat’s famous Rocky Mountains.
