New Family Dog at the Snake
The Snake River Saloon will be rocking to the sounds of New Family Dog tonight. The band is Jon Ridnell's latest incarnation, aimed at getting back to his funk and jazz roots. New Family Dog features Ridnell on guitar and vocals, son Miles Ridnell on bass and vocals, Steve Saviano on drums, Paul Stadler on sax and Dave Lyons on percussion. Ridnell has written a lot of new progressive material, although the band has the versatility to play almost any genre. Hazy guitar at three20south
Mosey West will play a free show in Breckenridge at three20south today. Mosey West fuses psychedelic, folk and country-rock influences in a haze of distorted guitar, pedal steel and reverb-soaked vocals. The "raw and edgy roots rock" group is known for its live energy on stage, soaring harmonies and unique performances. The band just finished recording its third EP at the legendary Blasting Room Studios in Fort Collins, which is scheduled for release in January. Back by popular demand, the Peaceful Blue Planet Foundation presents the award-winning Chris Collins and Boulder Canyon, A Tribute to John Denver. The nation's most exciting John Denver Tribute band returns to the Riverwalk Center on Sunday for a night of the music that shaped a generation. Memories will come alive as you sing along with Denver's most loved songs, including "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine," "Annie's Song" and many more. Piano recital in Dillon
