Summit County restaurants offer Easter dining options for families

A rambunctious morning of egg hunts, church services and visits from the Easter bunny can make you work up your appetite. Squelch your hunger with one of these holiday brunch options from around Summit County. All brunches take place on Easter Sunday, April 5, unless otherwise noted. Contact the individual restaurants for more information.

Breckenridge

• Spencer’s Restaurant in the Beaver Run Resort (620 Village Road, (970) 453-8755) is serving brunch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The spread includes eggs and omelets made to order; prime rib, lamb and smoked ham carving stations; chilled and hot buffets with fresh fruit, salad, seafood, grilled vegetables and more, plus pastries, desserts and Easter candies. The price is $44 for adults or $22 for kids 5 to 12 years old, and reservations are recommended.



Dillon

• Dillon Dam Brewery (100 Little Dam St., (970) 262-7777) is serving Easter brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., including smoked salmon omelets for $12, Meyer’s arugula salad for $11, polenta Benedict for $12 and huevos rancheros for $10, plus $5 mimosas and Absolut Peppar Bloody Marys or a Bloody Mary served with a snit of Dam beer for $4.50. Pints and beer samplers are also available.



• Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church (56 U.S. Highway 6, (970) 468-6809) will hold a free potluck brunch from 8 to 10:30 a.m., with Easter Sunday services at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Attend a service, and bring along a dish to share with the congregation.

• Red Mountain Grill (703 E. Anemone Trail, (970) 468-1010) is hosting Easter brunch starting at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 5, featuring their self-proclaimed “best Bennies in the mountains,” Bloody Mary’s and bottomless mimosas.

Frisco

• Backcountry Brewery (720 Main St., (970) 668-2337) will host an Easter brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with items including sliced ham and turkey, sausage and bacon, scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy, French toast, hashed browns and au gratin potatoes, vegetables, desserts, muffins and croissants, plus fruit juices and coffee. The price is $18.95 for adults or $8.95 for children ages 5 to 12; children younger than 5 are free. Reservations are encouraged.

• The Blue Spruce Inn (20 Main St., (970) 668-5900) is serving an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet for Easter from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The spread includes eggs Benedict, vegetable Florentine, sliced ham and sirloin roast, smoked salmon, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit and cheese plates, muffins and croissants, a dessert table and more. The price is $26.95 for adults or $12.95 for children ages 5 to 12, and reservations are recommended.

• Butterhorn Bakery (408 Main St., (970) 668-3997) is serving up Easter-themed cupcakes topped with rabbits, Easter eggs and more all week for the holiday. Flavors vary day to day, and the cupcakes are $2.50 each.

• Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant (182 Lusher Court, (970) 455-8923) will serve its regular weekend brunch menu on Easter Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with mini margaritas for $3, as well as huevos rancheros, papa’s breakfast burrito, spinach and potato tacos or Mexicana tacos for $7.95; pork and egg tacos for $8.50; steak revuelto tacos for $9.50; breakfast rellenos for $9.95 and steak and eggs for $12.50.

Keystone

• Alpenglow Stube (100 Dercum Square, (970) 496-4386) will host its final brunch of the season on Easter Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. While enjoying mountaintop views from 11,666 feet, Stube brunch guests can savor seafood and dessert buffets, as well as breakfast favorites and a complimentary mimosa as part of the weekly champagne brunch. The full brunch is $55 for adults, which includes complimentary mimosa, or $35 for kids 12 and younger. Mountain View Brunch (no entree) is $38 for adults and $24 for kids 12 and younger. Must have valid lift ticket or can receive a complimentary scenic lunch ticket at the Activities and Dining Office in River Run Village. Reservations are not required.

• Families can take part in an Easter brunch at Keystone’s Bighorn Bistro (100 Dercum Square, (970) 496-4386) on Sunday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Children have their very own brunch buffet options, while parents nosh on classic brunch options, complete with a Bloody Mary bar. The price is $24.95 ($29.95 with bottomless mimosas) for adults and $12.50 for kids ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger. Reservations are not required.

Silverthorne

• Murphy’s Irish Pub (501 Blue River Parkway, (970) 468-2457) will serve brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday. The menu includes corned beef hash, Denver omelets, steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, country-fried steak and more, and items are priced a la carte.
