AOB hosts Kris Lager Band
Kris Lager Band, a Nebraska-born group that has dedicated their lives to playing soulful, original music, will take the stage at Alma’s Only Bar on Friday, Dec. 13. With Lager on guitar and vocals and Jeremiah Weir on keys and percussion, the show is constantly evolving as the lines between rock, soul, blues, trance, zydeco, reggae, funk, hip-hop, gospel and hill-country boogie blur into a sound that is truly their own. The free show starts at 9:30 p.m. Visit www.almasonlybar.com for more information.
Get rambling at the Snake in Keystone
Whitewater Ramble will take the stage at the Snake River Saloon on Friday, Dec. 13, and Saturday, Dec. 14. Self-described as “high-octane Rocky Mountain dancegrass,” Whitewater Ramble uses a simple recipe to craft its sound: start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves to roots to Americana. The Colorado-bred quintet combines the elements of mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and vocals to explore the musical boundaries of multiple genres and to fuel their own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Doors open at 4 p.m. both nights, and the music starts at 9:30. Call (970) 468-2788 for more information.

We’s Us returns to The Barkley Ballroom
Fans that saw We’s Us perform at The Barkley Ballroom when they opened for Tea Leaf Green have been championing for their return, and the Frisco venue will give it to them on Saturday, Dec. 14. We’s Us is a mélange of jam, funk, rock and punk, producing a very unique sound. We’s Us has built its fan base one show at a time by following in the footsteps of those great live bands that came before them, never playing the same show twice. We’s Us is raw, happy, full of improv and sometimes a little crude in doing what they do best, playing rock ’n’ roll. The free show starts at 9 p.m. For more information, visit www.barkleyballroom.com.

Newly relocated to Los Angeles in 2013, he’s seen by far his busiest year on the road, and in the studio, infiltrating the playlists of most every A-List DJ with ears. The free show starts at 10 p.m. For more information, visit www.three20south.com.
