Today’s top four things to do in Summit County

On Sunday, July 3, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Frisco Historic Park and Museum at 120 Main St. will host the annual Frisco Founder’s celebration. This free event will highlight Frisco’s history with interactive activities and entertainment. Guests will have a chance to ride burros, pan for gold and create sidewalk chalk art compliments of Climax Mine. There will also be opportunities to tour the Historic Park and Museum’s 12 buildings, enjoy some refreshments, or set out a lawn chair at the park for a day of entertainment. The free entertainment lineup at Chez’ Place Gazebo includes a historic re-enactment by the Legendary Ladies at 11 a.m., two roping demonstrations at noon and 2 p.m., a concert by the Summit Concert Band at 1 p.m., and a performance with the singer/songwriter band, HoneyHoney, at 3 p.m. In addition, Summit Advocates for Gifted Education (SAGE) will be selling lemonade and ice cream as a fundraiser.
