Camps are organized into four main categories — adventure, arts, education and sports — and listed alphabetically by the name of the camp. ADVENTURE

Adventure Camp

About: Adventure Camp offers a variety of activities that are located in and around the Frisco Peninsula. This camp is open to 6-13 year olds. Instructors will guide the participants through a variety of activities that include, but are not limited to mountain biking, canoeing, skateboarding, hiking, disc golf and more. All participants must bring the following equipment to the program: functional bike (no training wheels,) skateboard, helmet, camelback and elbow, wrist and kneepads.

Cost: $205 per week for Frisco residents and $230 per week for non-residents

Agape Kids Outdoor Adventure Camp

Location: Agape Outpost Chapel

Backyard Adventure, Basecamp and Backpacking

About: SOS Summer programs are offered to students who participated in our winter programs – Learn to Ride and University. Our Backyard Adventure program (BYA) is a day camp that allows participants to explore a new outdoor adventure each day. Our overnight camps include Basecamp and Backpacking. We offer introductory and advanced courses. We also provide special programs like biking, sailing and more. All spots are first come, first served. BOEC and Children's Hospital Colorado: Cleft Camp

Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Scott Griffith Lodge

Times: All day

Dates: July 20-23

About: Cleft Camp is a four-day camp specifically for youth and 8 to 18 year olds with cleft lip and/or palate. This camp is designed to promote confidence, teamwork, independence and life skills. BOEC and Children's Hospital Colorado: CamPossible

Location: Session 1: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Old Cabin; Session 2: Scott Griffin Lodge

Dates: Session 1: June 18-20 ages 8-12; Session 2: July 14-16 ages 8-14

About: Camp Possible is designed for youth living with cerebral palsy. Youth will live, work and play in a "family" group of six to eight campers, two to three staff members from the BOEC and two specialized therapists from Children's Hospital Colorado (occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists or recreational therapists). Campers will assist with cooking and cleanup and will participate in a variety of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, canoeing, high-ropes course and outdoor education. BOEC and Children's Hospital Colorado: Camp Little Tree

Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Old Cabin

Dates: Session I: June 12-16 ages 11-12; Session II: August 4-6 ages 8-10

About: Camp Little Tree is a specialized camp for youth with sensory integration impairments, as well as learning and/or attention deficits. Both the five-day and three day sessions are overnight programs designed to meet the unique needs of these youth, along with providing safe and fun activities outdoors. Specially trained occupational therapists from Children's Hospital Colorado utilize therapy principles and techniques to make this camp experience positive and motivating. BOEC and Children's Hospital Colorado: Camp Zenith

Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Scott Griffith Lodge

About: Camp Zenith is a five-day overnight camp for 8 to 18 year olds who have sustained a brain injury. During the day, campers will participate in rock climbing, canoeing or kayaking on the Dillon Reservoir, high-ropes course and crafts. In the evenings, campers participate in activities such as taking in the music of the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra, movie nights, group games and a modified campfire. BOEC and Boulder Community Health: Peak Camp

Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Old Cabin

About: Peak Camp is a five-day overnight camp tailored to youth ages 9 to 13 with social and motor skills and sensory processing needs. Activities will include hiking, rock climbing and high-ropes course. All screening and enrollment goes through Boulder Community Health. Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Old Cabin

About: Summit Camp is designed for campers with social, motor, language and sensory processing needs. This camp will assist campers in regulation skills in a supportive environment. This camp is for youth ages 12 to 16. Summit Camp will include whitewater rafting, mobile camping, high-ropes course, rock climbing and much more. BOEC Camp Big Tree

Location: Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Old Cabin

About: This is a five-day overnight program for 12 to 16 year olds with sensory integration disorders, autism, learning disabilities and/or attention deficits. Through a variety of outdoor activities, such as rock climbing, whitewater rafting and camping, campers will have the opportunity to practice social skills, teamwork and leadership that will transfer into their daily lives. BOEC Wilderness Camp

Location: Ruby and Horsethief Canyons on the Colorado River

About: Wilderness Camp is a five-day overnight camp for 16 to 25 year olds with developmental and learning disabilities. Through outdoor activities designed around established experiential education models, students have the opportunity to develop social skills, teamwork and leadership qualities. This adventure-based program allows students to be involved in cooking, cleaning and gear preparation during the course, with an emphasis on having fun in a structured setting, as activities include canoeing, hiking and river camping. Breckenridge Mountain Camp

Location: Breckenridge Recreation Center

Times: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Monday-Saturday)

Dates: June 5-August 19

About: At Breckenridge Mountain Camp kids spend the summer exploring the natural beauty and fantastic amenities and events throughout Summit County. Children are grouped by age for active indoor and outdoor fun like swimming, rock climbing, hiking, ice-skating, crafts and local field trips. Weekly field trips visit popular attractions including Elitch Gardens, Water World and the Denver Zoo. While BMC is Summit County kids' favorite local getaway, visitors are welcome. Breckenridge Mountain Camp Counselor in Training

Location: Breckenridge Recreation Center

Times: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mon. through Fri.; no program on Weds.)

Dates: June -August 18

About: The BMC Counselor in Training program is for motivated 13-17 year olds looking for an active, fun summer, but who also want to learn responsibility. Each CIT is paired with a college-degreed counselor for one-on-one instruction, and then given hands-on opportunities to use new skills such as programming, planning, goal setting, communication, and team building. Participants are not required to attend each day but are highly encouraged to do so. Program may fulfill school-required community service. Application is required. Camp H2O

Location: Frisco Bay Marina

Times: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dates: June 12-16, June 26-30, July 10-14, July 31-August 4 and August 14-18

About: H2O is a water sports camp for adventurous kids who want to explore Dillon Reservoir, while learning to kayak, stand up paddleboard, canoe and fish. Camp will culminate with a whitewater-rafting trip hosted by Kodi Rafting. The Frisco Bay Marina will provide all of the necessary gear and expertise while on Dillon Reservoir. Camp H2O is open to youth ages 9-14.

Cost: $255 per week for Frisco residents and $275 per week for non-residents

Explore the 'thorne

Location: Silverthorne Recreation Center

Times: 1-4 p.m.

Dates: June 12-15, July 10-13, July 24-27

About: An outdoor camp to get you out and about to explore Silverthorne. Activities may include but are not limited to hiking, fishing, and scavenger hunt, tours of local businesses, the Division of Wildlife presentations and more. Wear appropriate shoes; bring a backpack with a snack, water bottle, sunscreen, hat and jacket. Open to 8-12 year old girls. Camp on July 24-27 meets at the North Pond Park. Friends of the Dillon Ranger District Volunteer Projects

Location: Throughout the county

Dates: Several one-day project per week, June through September

About: All Friends of the Dillon Ranger District Projects are open to public participation of all ages and are a great activity for families, weed pulls, tree plantings, litter cleanups or guided educational hikes. Frisco Fun Club

Location: Frisco Nordic Center at the Peninsula Recreation Area (616 Recreation Way, Frisco, CO 80443)

Times: 8-9 a.m. drop-off; 4:30-5:30 p.m. pick up

Dates: June through August

About: Frisco Fun Camp is a day camp program with weekly themes and field trips. The camp program is divided into two age groups: the Little Chiefs (5-7 year olds) and the Royals (8-12 year olds). Field trips will include trips to Elitch Gardens, the Denver Zoo, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and even rafting for the older group.

Cost: $40 per child for Frisco residents and $45 per child for non-residents, and each additional child in a family will receive a 20% off if attending camp on the same day.

G.I.R.L.S. on the Summit Wilderness Camp

Location: Breckenridge Recreation Center

Times: 8 a.m. to noon (Mon. through Fri.; no program on Weds.)

Dates: July 10-14

About: G.I.R.L.S. stands for Generating Independence, Relationships, and Lifelong Skills. This girls-only wilderness camp is an unforgettable experience that teaches girls skills to explore natural environments under the leadership of experienced female instructors. Campers hike to exciting natural sites while learning the orienting and wilderness skills to truly appreciate the outdoors. Campers can enjoy a full day of fun by joining Breckenridge Mountain Camp for the afternoon and/or attend the BMC field trip on Wednesday. Camp is open to 7-12 year olds. Girls on the Run

Location: Frisco Adventure Park

About: Girls on the Run is a program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Through interactive activities, such as running, playing games and discussing important issues, participants learn how to celebrate being girls. The program focuses on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health. Open to girls entering grades 3-6.

Keystone Science School

Location: Keystone Science School

Wild Child Wilderness Camp

About: This camp teaches kids the skills to guide themselves through natural environments. Campers become comfortable in the outdoors using orienting, camouflage, backcountry cooking skills and more. Kid-friendly hikes include time for trailside activities and games while learning to use maps, compasses and trail markers. There's also unstructured playtime in nature. Camp open to 7-12 year olds. YMCA of the Rockies Day Camp

Location: Snow Mountain Ranch

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

About: Nine summer sessions of varying topics, including Outer Space, Stars and Stripes, Christmas in July, Under the Sea, Circus, Adventureland and Super Hero. Lunch is provided. Campers are split up into groups based on age. Adventure activities include, arts and crafts, the climbing wall, science experiments, tie-dye, swimming, archery, canoeing, hiking, zip-lining and outdoor living skills. Alpine Choir Camp

Location: Lord of the Mountains Church

About: Alpine Choir Camp is for singers in third through twelfth grade. Camp will fine tune sight-reading skills, singing techniques, hand bell ringing and choral singing. Closing concert will take place on Friday, July 28. For more information visit LordoftheMountains.org.

Camp Compassion

Location: Lord of the Mountains Church

Location: Dillon Community Church

About: This camp lays the foundation for future enjoyment of music. Students will have the opportunity to play flute, clarinet, trumpet, percussion, violin and harp. A basic history of these instruments, fingerings, playing posture and simple songs will be introduced, enabling students to make educated decisions for future study. The camp is open to kids 7 years old and up. No prior musical experience is required and enrollment is limited to 12 kids. The registration deadline is May 26. Acting Out

Location: Dillon Theater

About: This class incorporates the basics of music theatre, telling stories in song and fun activities abound. Students will write or adapt a full play incorporating song and dance. Session concludes with a showcase of their work on June 24.

Aladdin Kids

Location: Dillon Theater

About: Welcome to the marketplace of Agrabah, where we're about to begin the fantastic tale of the street rat who became a prince. Aladdin KIDS is adapted from the Disney film for younger performers and features hit songs, including "Friend Like Me," "Prince Ali," and "A Whole New World." Aladdin, Jasmine, Jafar, Iago and the Genie battle for power and possession of the lamp. Camp is open to first to fourth graders. Performance on July 22 will conclude the session.

Disney's Alice in Wonderland Junior

Location: Dillon Theater

Times: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dates: July 24-August 4

About: Join Alice's madcap adventures in Wonderland as she chases the White Rabbit, races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with the Tweedles, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar, and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game. Roles are plentiful, including three Cheshire Cats and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters. Alice in Wonderland Junior has an updated score, including new versions of Disney favorites "I'm Late," "The Unbirthday Song" and "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah." Camp is open to first to fourth graders. Performance on August 5 will conclude the session.

Broadway Rocks

Location: Dillon Theater

About: This program shows how much music theatre can really rock. Incorporating music from popular rock musicals and movies, students will work on more advanced music theatre techniques. Session will end in a showcase of their work on June 24. Camp is open to fifth to ninth graders.

Charlotte's Web

Location: Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: June 12-16

About: Fern saves Wilbur from the butcher shop and his life is forever changed when he meets Charlotte, a spider, who sacrifices all to save her new friend. Students will create a unique performance based on the classic E.B. White story. Camp open to first, second and third graders.

Disney's Aladdin Junior

Location: Dillon Theater

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: June 26-July 14

About: Based on the iconic animated film, with an Academy Award-winning score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice. When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Session will end in a showcase of their work on July 15. Camp is open to fifth to ninth graders.

Disney's Beauty and the Beast Junior

Location: Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: July 10-14

About: Belle takes her father's place as prisoner in the castle of the Beast, a young prince cursed by an Enchantress's spell. This Broadway hit infuses a "tale as old as time" with magical characters and unforgettable songs, including "Be Our Guest." A delightful journey of friendship, discovery, and love. Camp is open to fourth through ninth graders.

Disney's Heroes and Villains

Location: Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: July 17-21

About: Someone has unleashed all the classic Disney villains. Now it's up to the Disney heroes to round them up and restore order in the universe. Kids can decide whether they'd rather be a villain or a hero and will craft an original musical performance of their own design. Camp is open to first through third graders.

Playmakers Workshop

Location: Dillon Theater

Times: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dates: June 19-23, July 17-21, July 24-27

About: Our youngest stars get a chance to shine. Classes focus on basic theatre skills, hands-on group activities and creative crafts. Students will adapt a book into play that incorporates both song and dance. Session concludes with a showcase of their work. Camp open to kindergarteners and first graders. This workshop will be offered three times during the 2017 season. Performances will follow each session.

Ronald Dahl's Willy Wonka Junior

Location: Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

About: The timeless tale of Charlie Bucket, a golden ticket and a mysterious chocolate factory run by a world-famous candy man on a quest to find an heir. It's a golden ticket to adventure. Camp is open to fourth through ninth graders.

The Addams Family – Young@part edition

Location: Dillon Theater

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: July 24-August 11

About: The Addams Family features an original story, and it's every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's 'normal' boyfriend and his parents. Session will end in a showcase of their work on August 12. Camp is open to fifth to ninth graders.

The Girl Who Navigated Fairyland

Location: Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

Times: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dates: June 26-30

About: September is a 12 year-old girl who longs for adventure and finds it when she journeys to Fairyland to help restore order to a land crushed by the iron rule of a villainous Marquess. An original bilingual production based on the acclaimed novel by Catherynne Valente. Camp open to pre-kindergarten to ninth grade. This program will be bilingual.

About: Chess Wizards Camp will offer challenging chess lessons, exciting games and cool prizes. About: Instructors will guide participants through the Frisco Bike Park features and the Frisco Peninsula trails. Camp will be divided into two age groups (6-8 year olds) and 9-13 year olds). Instructors will focus on body positioning, balance, gear shifting and maneuvering over obstacles. Participants should feel comfortable riding a bike and be familiar with braking, cornering and pumping their bike. Participants will bike 5-8 miles each day of camp.

Youth Self-Defense Program

Times: 4-6:30 p.m. (Mon.-Thurs.); 9-11 a.m. (Sat.)

Dates: June 5-August 31

About: This program is designed to teach your children how to defend themselves as safely and effectively as possible using proven methods. Benefits of this program include self-confidence, discipline, camaraderie, physical conditioning, coordination, self-control, and self-awareness.
