Frisco Rowing Center hosts second open house
The Frisco Rowing Center hosted its second of two open houses Saturday, June 21. Club members treated guests to a free breakfast and a brief rowing lesson. Those in attendance had a chance to learn more about the club, test the club’s on-land rowing machine and also go for a spin in one of the club’s boats on Lake Dillon.
The Frisco Rowing Center offers individual or four-pack lessons to anyone interested in learning how to row a crew-style rowboat. Anyone who takes a lesson will then have the opportunity to put lesson costs towards a year membership with the club. Club members have access to the center’s fleet of 21 boats.
Members typically row in the mornings, often as early as 6 a.m. Winds often pick up on the lake during the late morning — around 10 or 10:30 a.m. — making rowing later in the morning difficult.
