Today's top five things to do in Summit County

Keystone Winter Bluegrass

Keystone, March 8

6 p.m., Warren Station Center for the Arts, 164 Ida Belle Drive. The Dercum Center presents the 3rd Annual Keystone Winter Bluegrass Festival with 4 Colorado bands. There will be a community jam prior to the bands taking the stage at 7 p.m. Friday’s line up: Steel Pennies, followed by The Blue Canyon Boys. Saturday, Summit County’s own Pine Beatles open for the very popular Haunted Windchimes. Cash bar and dance floor both nights. In advance: $12, plus fee for single night or $15 at the door.

Gallery Show

Breckenridge, March 8

4-8 p.m., Arts Alive Gallery, 501 S. Main St. La Cima Mall. Arts Alive Gallery is having a Grand Re-Opening. The gallery moved a few doors down from the old location. It is now next to Park & Main Restaurant. The opening reception will coincide with the 2nd Saturday Art Walk. Many artists will be in attendance. Including Artist of the Month, Richard Seeley. Richard is famous for his amazing wild life photography.

Winterfest

Georgetown, March 8 & 9

All Day, Loveland Ski Area, Interstate 70, Georgetown. Subarus Master of The Mountain events include free mini-lessons, free family races, Nordica demos and an insiders look at the operations of the National Ski Patrol with an avalanche awareness and beacon training session. Free goodies, prizes, hot chocolate and coffee. The first 100 Subaru drivers to enter the parking lot receive VIP treatment with front row parking right next to Lift 1. Participation is free to all skiers and snowboarders with a valid lift ticket.

Climb to Glory

Breckenridge, March 8

6:15 p.m., Colorado Mountain College, 107 Denison Placer Rd. Presented by the Breckenridge Festival of Film in partnership with the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance, Breckenridge Hospitality, Colorado Mountain College, New Belgium and the Breckenridge Backstage Theater. A film by Warren Miller Entertainment and the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum. All ages welcome. Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door, includes free beer and chance to win door prizes.

Murder Mystery

Breckenridge, March 8

6:30 p.m., Village at Breckenridge, 535 S. Park Ave. Get in on the action at the Ten Mile room at the village at breckenridge for a prohibition-style, who-dun-it dinner. Cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and the night’s festivities include light Hor d’oeuvres and a three-course meal.
