Historic Walking Tour of Breck

Breckenridge, March 12-14

11 a.m. & 1:30 p.m., Breckenridge Welcome Center, 203 S. Main St. Take a tour through Breckenridge’s Nationally Recognized Historic District with a local expert. Along the way, hear stories about the hardy souls who lived in Breckenridge more than 100 years ago. Reservations not required, call (970) 453-9767 x2. Tickets are $10 adults, $5 children (age 4-12).

One Ton Pig

Frisco, March 12

9 p.m., The Barkley Ballroom, 610 Main St. The best electric bluegrass band in the west, One Ton Pig always plays to an exuberant packed hous. Free show.

Acoustic Moose, Alive!

Breckenridge, March 12 & 14

5 p.m., Ridge Street Wine, Cheese and Chocolate, Adams St Alley. Singer/Songwriter plays hot tunes for these cold winter nights.

9 p.m., Three 20 South, 320 S. Main St. Twiddle, a Vermont-based quartet, spins tall-tales over an intricate soundscape of hi-def shred.

Breckenridge Ascent Race #3

Breckenridge, March 12

5:30 p.m., Breckenridge Ski Resort, Peak 8 Base Area, T- Bar Restaurant, 1599 Ski Hill Rd. The 5th Annual Breckenridge Ascent Series, presented by Breckenridge Ski Resort and the Breckenridge Recreation Department. Race #3 begins at the Peak 8 base. Use any means to get up the mountain whether it be snowshoes, nordic skis or AT setups. However, skis or a snowboard are required to come back down. Same-day registration is in the T-Bar Restaurant starting at 4:45 p.m. for $25.
