Summit County identity theft suspect faces 46 felony, misdemeanor charges across seven cases

A Summit County woman facing 46 felony and misdemeanor charges in seven separate cases appeared Tuesday, April 8 in Summit County Court.

Jessica Christine Sebben, 20, is charged in county court with one count of second-degree burglary, a Class 3 felony; 23 counts of identity theft, a Class 4 felony; one count of first-degree criminal trespass, a Class 5 felony; two counts of violation of bail bond conditions, a Class 6 felony; and one count of theft, a Class 6 felony.

Sebben also faces 11 counts of unauthorized use of a financial transaction device, three counts of theft, and two counts each of violation of bail bond conditions and criminal possession of a financial transaction device, all misdemeanors, as well as a traffic violation for failing to obey a traffic control device.

The charges on record represent six of the seven cases against Sebben. Charges are still pending in the seventh case.

Sebben remains in custody at Summit County jail on $50,000 bond from a 2013 identity theft case. Bond is pending in the five felony cases filed in 2014 against Sebben.

During a first appearance hearing on Tuesday, Summit County Judge Edward Casias scheduled a preliminary hearing for 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 22, saying bond in some of those cases would be set at that time.

Sebben was represented Tuesday by public defender Reed Owens. Rusty Prindle appeared on behalf of the 5th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Sebben is accused of using a stolen credit card to make about $430 in purchases at local shops and restaurants, according to Breckenridge Police Department reports from December 2013. Sebben allegedly made those purchases at City Market, The Lumber Yard Skate and Snow, Clint’s Bakery and Coffee House, Downstairs at Eric’s and Taipei Tokyo, reports stated.

Sebben, a former employee of Mountain Vibe in Breckenridge, also is a suspect in a January home burglary and theft in Summit Cove, according to a Summit County Sheriff’s Office report.
