Today's top five things to do in Summit

Film: The Scenic Route/Antarctica: A Year on Ice

Breckenridge, April 11

7 p.m., Backstage Theatre, 121 South Ridge St. ‘The Scenic Route’ (short film) explores the lives of young adults who wish to bypass traditional careers and lifestyles despite the resources they are given, in order to pursue a sense of self fulfillment. Unlike radicals of the 60s hippie movement, these young men and women are interested in following their true passions regardless of what societal pressures surround them, but do not wish to revolutionize society. ‘Antarctica: A Year on Ice’ is a visually stunning chronicle of what it is like to live in Antarctica for a full year, including winters isolated from the rest of the world, while enduring months of unending darkness in the coldest place on Earth. Purchase tickets prior to the event at the Backstage Theater box office, www.backstagetheatre.org. $12/adults; $10/children, seniors. 970-453-0199
