11 a.m., 501 S. Main St., La Cima Mall. Arts Alive Gallery is excited to highlight a new member as Artist of the Month. Katie Sherman is a fiber artist who will be exhibiting her works in the gallery for the month of May. The opening reception is the 2nd Saturday, May 10, from 4-8 p.m. The gallery continues it’s ‘Spring into Spring’ show with works from gallery artists.

Free Glassblowing Demonstration

Frisco, May 6 & 8

2 p.m., Gatherhouse Glassblowing Studio & Gallery, 110 Second Ave. Watch the glassblowers transform 2000-degree molten glass into pieces of art. Fascinating for all ages. Classes available.

Free Community Dinner

Silverthorne, May 6

5 p.m., Summit Elks Lodge. Free Community Dinner served to all every Tuesday. The Elks Lodge is 3 blocks north of Target on Highway 9.

Adult Lunch Shot Drop-In Hockey

Breckenridge, May 6

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Stephen C. West Ice Arena, 0189 Boreas Pass Road. This adult (age 18 and older) drop-in hockey session allows you to order lunch from Downstairs at Eric’s and/ or Empire Burger, play hockey, and have lunch and a drink waiting for you after the session. The minimum equipment requirement is a helmet and stick, which are available for rent, if needed. Full equipment is highly recommended. Fee: $9 per session ($14 including lunch).

Parent-Child Drop-In Swim Lessons

Breckenridge, May 6

10:45 a.m., Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road. Instructors follow a plan to introduce new swimming and water safety skills that are developmentally appropriate for infants and young children. Great experiences and fun activities teach infants and toddlers a variety of basic skills. Parents also learn valuable water safety information to make your family safer in and around the water. No registration required. A $6 drop-in fee is due upon arrival. (970) 453-1734.
