Film: Duet with AKA Doc Pomus

Arts Alive

11 a.m., 501 S. Main St., La Cima Mall. Arts Alive Gallery is excited to highlight a new member as Artist of the Month. Katie Sherman is a fiber artist who will be exhibiting her works in the gallery for the month of May. The opening reception is the 2nd Saturday, May 10, from 4-8 p.m. The gallery continues it’s ‘Spring into Spring’ show with works from gallery artists.

Adult Lunch Shot Drop-In Hockey

Breckenridge, May 8

11:30 a.m., Stephen C. West Ice Arena, 0189 Boreas Pass Road. This adult (age 18 and older) drop-in hockey session allows you to order lunch from Downstairs at Eric’s and/ or Empire Burger, play hockey, and have lunch and a drink waiting for you after the session. The minimum equipment requirement is a helmet and stick, which are available for rent, if needed. Full equipment is highly recommended. Fee: $9 per session ($14 including lunch).

Breckenridge King of the Hill Tennis Clinic

Breckenridge, May 8

3:30-4:30 p.m., Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road. Come out and play King of the Hill with Pro Tim Wyatt where you’re teamed up with other players to hold control of the home court. Fast and fun, this class gets your heart pumping while meeting other players in the community. (970) 453-1734.

Horse Cents Thrift Store

Silverthorne, May 8-11

10:30 a.m., Horse Cents Thrift Store, 252 Warren Ave. Over 2,000 square feet of quality new and used items. Store proceeds benefit program animals (mostly horses) of Swan Center Outreach, Inc. a Summit County nonprofit organization. From Highway 9, go 3 blocks west on 3rd Street. Turn left on Warren. Store is on left around curve in road.
