Three of Summit County’s four ski resorts are proposing construction projects, and the U.S. Forest Service wants your input.
At Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, the resort wants to remove about 100 trees in the Montezuma Bowl and construct a communication tower.
Breckenridge Ski Resort plans to improve its infrastructure to add power on Peak 8 and water on Peak 6. Keystone Resort also plans to do minor construction.
The Dillon Ranger District is seeking public comment through June 16 and expects construction will start in late summer.
These projects likely will be excluded from documentation through an environmental analysis or an environmental impact statement, but that exclusion will be decided based on comments from the public and Forest Service specialists and a resource analysis.
Email comments to email@example.com and mail written comments to Scott G Fitzwilliams, Forest Supervisor, c/o Shelly Grail Braudis, Dillon Ranger District, PO Box 620, Silverthorne, CO 80498-0620.
