During the early morning hours of Wednesday, April 30, Dillon police officers responded to west Anemone Trail for a report of a juvenile man who had allegedly assaulted his mother.
The case took a more disturbing turn at 6 p.m. that same night when Dillon police officers received a report that a woman, also a juvenile, had allegedly been sexually assaulted by the same man, according to police records. The alleged crime took place prior to the alleged assault against his mother.
Silverthorne police officers responded to the second call and assisted in interviewing the alleged sex assault victim. Dillon and Silverthorne police officers drafted a search warrant for the suspect’s residence and served it at 2 a.m. Thursday, May 1, records stated.
The man was taken into custody and transferred to Mount View Juvenile Detention Center in Jefferson County. Police records did not state whether or not the man was still in custody.
Dillon liquor store clerk closes shop to pursue alleged booze thieves
At about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, May 25, a clerk at Lake Dillon Liquors closed down the shop to pursue two unknown men who allegedly stole two bottles of liquor.
Before the two suspects fled the store, the clerk confronted the men, according to records. One of the men allegedly pushed the clerk to the ground, committing strong-armed robbery.
The clerk immediately locked the store and attempted to follow the suspects as they fled by car to Interstate 70, records stated. The clerk spotted a Dillon police officer that was in the midst of a traffic stop on I-70 and reported the alleged theft.
Dillon police officers attempted to pursue the alleged criminals, but were unable to locate them and make an arrest.
