5:30 p.m., Frisco Historic Park Gazebo, 120 Main St. The Town of Frisco is proud to bring together great music for a great cause at the free Outdoor Concert in the Park Series. The concerts usually feature some of the hottest up-and-coming musical talent and are ready to get you moving to the beat in the mountains.

A Journey into the Heart of the Himalayas

6 p.m., Summit County Community & Senior Citizens Center, 83 Nancy’s Place. An evening of stunning scenery, traditional cultures and customs, music and dance, and stories. Have some snacks and ask questions about traveling to the Himalayas.

Breckenridge, July 10

5 a.m., Beyond Backpacking Headquarters, 1760 Airport Rd. Unit C. Full day hike climbing Mt. Sherman, a local 14er. All wilderness trip participants must have completed a Backcountry Basics course in the previous 6 months to qualify. Event open to Adventure Club members only, group size is restricted. Preregistration through the Beyond Backpacking website is strongly encouraged.
