Domus Pacis Family Respite Food for a Family Friday

Frisco, July 11

11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Summit Senior and Community Center, Highway 9. Help create meals to nourish families on a cancer journey by allowing them time to relax and enjoy their respite week in Summit County. Join for the fun, meet some new friends and warm some tummies. Domus Pacis provides the recipes, ingredients and containers. You provide your time and a desire to make a difference. Donations of ingredients are gratefully accepted for this project.

Friday Afternoon Club

Keystone, July 11

1 p.m. to sunset, Keystone Resort, 100 Dercum Square. Head to the Summit House to enjoy an evening of live music, drink and food specials and activities. All activities are free and can be checked out through the Overlook Grill. Accessible via a scenic ride on the River Run Gondola. A foot passenger ticket or lift ticket is required to access the Gondola. Foot passenger tickets are available at the River Run Ticket Office and are free on Fridays from 3 p.m.-close. Frank Baum came to write ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ At forty-four years old, Baum is a ‘jack of all trades’ and a master of none - his latest work has no title and no ending! Like the cyclone in his story, Baum’s housekeeper and a little runaway named Dot get swept up into the mad vortex of his tale, as Baum enlists them to help him improvise his story. (970) 453-0199.

Friday Night Concert Series with Something Underground

7 p.m., Dillon Amphitheater, 100 Lodge Pole. Brothers Seth and Josh Larson and their long-time drummer, Trevor Mariotti, were born into musical families. Rock, reggae and funk are just a few of the vehicles they use to move their audience.
