Guided Nature Hike

9:30 a.m., Frisco Day Lodge, 621 Recreation Way. Hike with others and learn more about the Peninsula Recreation Area flora and fauna while enjoying spectacular scenery. Hike is easy to moderate in ability and will be 2 hours in duration. Reservations are required by calling (970) 668-2558. $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Pets welcome on leash.

Summit Trail Running Series Race #5

Breckenridge, Aug. 13

6 p.m., Breckenridge Recreation Center, 880 Airport Road. Race #5 is Horseshoe Gulch with a 6K short course and 14K long course. Individual Race registration: Age 19 & up- $20 preregistration, $25 Day-of registration. Age 18 & under: $5 per race - registration and parent/guardian signed waiver required. (970) 453-1734.
