Mueller: Vote “no” on Ruby Placer annexation (letter)

Vote “no” on Ruby Placer annexation

A “yes” vote will let Blue River annex property in Summit County and give the developer the right to build 68 residential units.

Background: The Upper Blue Planning Commission took 10 years to develop the Upper Blue Master Plan adopted February 25, 2010.

The Upper Blue Planing Commission was comprised of people who have concerns about the Upper Blue — first, most and foremost in their decision making. This plan was adopted by Breckenridge, Frisco, Summit County and Blue River. Now, the developer and Blue River Boards have ignored the commentaries on density, water, waste and safety.

The Board of County Commissioners have written a letter dated June 2, 2014 to the town of Blue River Board of Trustees. The 22 pages of well-thought-out comments outlines why the Ruby Placer Annexation does not conform to the Summit County regulations.

Again, the Blue River boards have ignored these commentaries. Our Blue River Valley does not need a high-density development. Residents of Blue River please vote “no” and preserve our valley.
