Update: Missing Grand County children have been found safe

Update:

Two children reported missing from a home in east Grand County have been found, according to law enforcement officials at the scene.

The children, ages two and three, were spotted playing in a neighbor's yard across the highway. They were found safe, along with their dog.

A station was set up at Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA along Highway 40 south of Granby for law enforcement to monitor the situation.

The two went missing from the west end of County Road 5 and County Road 521 around noon Friday, according to Lt. Dan Mayer of the Grand County Sheriff's Department.

Grand County EMS and the Grand County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search using all terrain vehicles, drones and dogs, according Mayer.

The two went missing from the west end of County Road 5 and County Road 521, according to Lt. Dan Mayer of the Grand County Sheriff’s Department. They have been missing for over an hour.

Grand County EMS and the Grand County Sheriff's Department are currently setting up a station point at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA. Search is being conducted using all terrain vehicles, drones, dogs and a helicopter is on the way, according Mayer.

East Grand Fire is also en route to assist with the search.

The sheriff’s department is preparing to issue a code red activation, which will notify everyone in the area to be on the lookout.
