Brain injury conference Friday at Summit County Community and Senior Center

St. Anthony Summit Medical Center and The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado will host Friday the final of four regional conferences this year.

The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Frisco at Summit County Community & Senior Center

Erin McGinnis, a marketing consultant for St. Anthony’s, said the event is highly recommended for medical professionals, survivors and their direct support services such as family, caregivers and therapists, but everyone is welcome to attend.

“It’s not going to be too clinical or above anyone’s head,” McGinnis said. “It would be a great event for anyone to attend because head injuries are such a big issue for us in Summit County.”

The conference is designed to educate and provide a better understanding of the brain injury and traumatic brain injury survivors’ healing process and strategies for caregivers in supporting the recovery process.

Cost is $49 for the full day conference.

Those interested in only attending the keynote lunch may do so for $15.
