Breckenridge cops search for watch thief

Breckenridge authorities are looking for an unidentified suspect they say may have stolen a watch from a local jewelry store July 19.

The man reportedly walked into Timeless Collections on the 200 block of South Main Street and removed a men’s watch from a display case before leaving the store on foot, according to a Breckenridge Police Department statement on the theft.

The value of the watch has not been released.

The suspect was caught on tape on the shop’s security surveillance video.

The suspect is estimated to be between 5 feet 7 inches and 6 feet tall and of average build. He was last seen wearing a green baseball cap, a yellow “Guy Harvey” long-sleeved T-shirt khaki shorts and black sandals.
