Temporary Frisco recycle site

Due to road construction, the Frisco Recycling Drop Site is being relocated until Tuesday, Sept. 10. Recycling and compost can be dropped off at a temporary site at the Medical Office Building.

The site is in the parking lot on the east side of the Medical Office Building and can be accessed from the intersection on Highway 9 nearest the Summit Medical Center via Peak One Drive.

For questions please call the High Country Conservation Center office at (970) 668-5703.

Dual ski pass offered

A new dual ski pass is available featuring two of Summit County’s premier ski resorts.

The New Keystone A-Basin Pass offers unlimited skiing and riding for just $279, allowing pass holders to cover more than 4,000 acres of terrain at both resorts all season long.

The Keystone A-Basin Pass pays for itself in less than three days on the mountain.

Vail Pass Bike Path closures

The Colorado Department of Transportation will close the Vail Pass Bike Path between Copper Mountain and the top of Vail Pass for the next few weeks.

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 3, the path will be closed around the clock on weekdays to all bike and pedestrian traffic for rotomilling and paving operations.

Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays. The path will be open for travel on weekends.

Drivers on eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 also should expect occasional lane closures near the top on the east side of Vail Pass, allowing construction equipment access to and from the bike path.
