Dixie Hurst Kuhn
Summit County has lost another beautiful angel, Dixie Hurst Kuhn. She passed away while living in Chatom, Ala. She was a wonderful woman and incredible mother. We referred to her as a diamond in the rough because she marched to her own beat and her smile would illuminate any room she entered. My mom taught us all many things ... To love with passion that knows no bounds, to give as much as possible without expecting anything in return and to live life with a bright and burning flame. She showed us to shine our lights so that we could subconsciously give others the right to do the same. Although her flame has recently been extinguished, we can burn much brighter knowing how many lives she touched and how many tools she has blessed us with to grow into the men we are today and, more important, the men we want to and will become.
We will be having a “Larger than Life” Celebration in Honor of Dixie Hurst Kuhn on Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. Thank you all for your love and support through this difficult time.
