On the Hill: Seven inches and counting at Breckenridge Ski Resort

On the Hill, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report showcasing Summit County’s ski conditions Wednesday through Sunday.

VIDEO: On the Hill Correspondent Emily MaRee at Breckenridge, Saturday Morning, Dec. 21, with special guest Danika Duffy.

Breckenridge official report: 7” of new snow in the last 24 hours 2” overnight. A 40 percent chance of snow today. Cloudy, with a high near 21. Northwest wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Weather: 22 degree High. Overcast with intermittent snow.

Liftline status: Small line at 9 a.m.

Run of the day: Off Colorado Superchair.

Breakdown: Breckenridge has 28 of it’s 30 lifts running to open up 86 of their 155 runs. In total there are 1392 of 2358 acres open.

Snowcast: NOAA is calling a 40 percent chance of snow. Cloudy, with a high near 22. Light west wind becoming west northwest 6 to 11 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
