She is a graduate of Wichita State University and formerly a reporter for the Omaha-World Herald. Kathy is now directing her talents toward mixed-media acrylic and ink painting. In her new media Kathy has created beautiful paintings of Aspen trees, she also specializes in pet portrait character painting. She has brought one of her own portraits of her and her cocker spaniel, Moose. Stop by and check out her beautiful paintings! She’s also offered to do pet portraits for anyone interested! Interactive Nordic Ski Wax Clinic

9 a.m., Gold Run Nordic Center, 200 Clubhouse Dr., Breckenridge. Let the professionals at Gold Run Nordic Center teach you the simple step-by-step progression of waxing your skis. The clinic is designed for all levels of Nordic skiers, and all ages are welcome. Discussion items will include but are not limited to: identification of snow crystals, snow transformation, proper iron temperatures, scraping and brushing techniques, wax additives and questions from the participants. Gold Run supplies the irons and profile benches, you supply the wax and scrapers. A fee includes the wax of the day. Join special guest instructor Erik from Madshus/Toko in exploring new product for both kick wax and glide wax.
