Proceeds from Silverthorne's Swift Skedaddle snowshoe event benefit Youth Scholarship Fund

The town of Silverthorne will once again host the Swift Skedaddle Snowshoe Adventure at the Raven Golf Course on Saturday, Jan. 25. This annual race features wicked terrain, scenic views and tough competition.

There is a 5K and a 10K race, which is a USSSA regional qualifying event. For details about qualifying for nationals, visit www.snowshoeracing.com. The 5K course is very similar to the 10K and perfect for participants who want half the challenge with all the adventure.

The race often fills up, and registrations will be accepted until the race is at capacity. Participants can register by calling (970) 262-7373 or by visiting the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. the day of the race, and the race starts at 10:30 a.m.

Proceeds from the race benefit the Silverthorne Recreation Center’s Youth Scholarship Fund. The fund helps youths ages 18 and younger participate in recreational programs and classes that they might not otherwise be able to afford.
