International Snow Sculpture Champs

All Day, Breckenridge Ski Resort, 1599 Saw Mill Run Rd., Breckenridge. Watch as teams from around the world each work to turn 20 tons of snow into incredible works of art within just a few days. You’ll learn about the process of snow sculpting, how the teams came to be, where their design inspiration comes from and more. As a spectator you’ll also get a chance to vote for the People’s Choice winner. The Riverwalk Center is also home to the Ice Village, where each ice carving is sculpted into a glowing statue to represent many of the supporters of the Snow Sculpture Championships. The competition sculptures will be exhibited in the Tiger Dredge parking lot adjacent to the Riverwalk Center, (970) 453-5000.

An Elegant Evening with Jennifer DeDominici

6 p.m., Blue River Fine Art Gallery, 411 S. Main St., Breckenridge. The National Repertory Orchestra presents ‘An Elegant Evening’ with Mezzo-Soprano Jennifer DeDominici. Jennifer will be performing a mix of musical styles including music of Hollywood, Broadway and classical pieces including some of your favorites from The Sound of Music, Les Mis rables and much more. Please join us for an intimate evening of music, art, mingling, hors d’oeuvres, wine and dessert. $50 in advance $60 at the door.
Swift Skedaddle Snowshoe Adventure

Come and learn the basics of acrylic painting and enjoy a glass of wine in this upbeat and casual class. Not artistic? No worries. You don’t have to be a “Van Gogh” to make a fabulous masterpiece for your wall. The instructors are an inspirational blast and will lead you step by step as you make a creation that is uniquely yours. And, there are plenty of cocktails to stir up your imagination. With a few guided strokes and some liquid encouragement, you will be amazed at the artwork you made. Canvas, paint and supplies included in the entry. No experience necessary. Bottled wine and $5 cocktail specials are also in the mix.
