The Summit County Library sends a big thank you to community!
The Summit County Library would like to thank everyone who helped with our recent book sale. Our gratitude goes out to all of the volunteers and staff and Friends of the Libraries members who donated their time and energy; community members who donated books prior to the sale; and to all who supported us by visiting and purchasing available books. We could not have done it without the help of each of you. The Friends of the Library book sale proceeds of $2292.80 will go toward assisting the library in purchasing new materials, covering operational costs, assisting with the upcoming summer reading program and much more. All of these programs and materials help us to better serve Summit County residents and visitors. For more information on upcoming events and volunteer opportunities or to learn how you can help the Summit County Libraries through donations, please call Joyce Dierauer at (970) 668-5555, or contact her by e-mail at email@example.com.
Colorado Business Reads
In the spirit of volunteering, Alpine Bank is promoting Colorado Business Reads. EPIC (Executives Partnering to Invest in Children) and Alpine Bank have teamed up to endorse a statewide book drive for children from birth to 8 years of age. The goals are to promote and create public awareness and to enable children to explore their imaginations through reading. We are collecting new or gently used children’s books at our Breckenridge, Frisco, and Dillon locations through May 15. It is spring-cleaning time, so please look through your gently used books for the chance to give a child the opportunity that he or she might not otherwise have. Contact Missy Burns at (970) 513-5944. Thanks for your continued support, Summit County!
