Braun: Get involved to change politics
Ryan Summerlin November 4, 2012
I have a few questions about Mitt Romney. If he believes that he can simultaneously cut taxes for the rich while significantly increasing our military budget, does that mean that I can cut back on my work/income and remodel my house at the same time? Further, if he feels that he can cut out a bunch of government regulations and trust businesses to do the right thing regarding the environment and/or working conditions for employees, does that mean that my employer can suspend the rules my co-workers and I are expected to follow and simply trust us to be altruistic? Wake up tea partiers, we all count on government services and regulations. If you don’t like something the government is doing, get involved in changing it rather than forcing politicians to make promises they can’t keep.
