Call for art: Breckenridge Oktoberfest
Ryan Summerlin March 2, 2012
The Breckenridge Resort Chamber is offering the public the opportunity to design artwork for the 18th annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest (www.breckoktoberfest.com), to be held Sept. 14-16. This event is one of the largest Oktoberfest celebrations in Colorado and draws thousands of visitors to Main Street during the two-day street party. Winning artwork will appear on the 2012 Breckenridge Oktoberfest .5- and 1-liter steins and may be used on posters, merchandise, print advertising and other event collateral.
Concept sketches are due no later than 5 p.m. March 30. Sketches must be no larger than 14″ x 17″ and both horizontal and vertical formats will be accepted. Due to the multiple uses of the artwork, the BRC requests that artists use a limited color palette for easy adaptation to steins, clothing and vector art.
Artwork may be submitted to the BRC offices located at 111 Ski Hill Rd. in Breckenridge, or mailed to the address below. Please contact events director Sandy Metzger at (970) 453-5074 or email@example.com with questions regarding the contest.

Once the winning artwork is selected, the winner will be required to submit final art at a poster size of 14″ x 17″. The winning artist will receive a prize package including Oktoberfest steins and beer tickets; his/her artwork will be displayed across Breckenridge and beyond.
