SILVERTHORNE – Local private and public sectors on Wednesday are joining forces to offer the Community Resource and Job Fair at the Silverthorne Pavilion from noon to 4 p.m.
“Finding affordable health care, locating local food banks and learning about training opportunities are just a few of the services that will be provided,” Frisco Workforce Center director Rosemary Pettus said regarding the community resources in a press release.
Participating organizations include the Family and Intercultural Resource Center, Summit Community Care Clinic, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Colorado West Regional Mental Health, Colorado Mountain College and more.
Regarding the job fair, job seekers can have resumes and cover letters reviewed by staff at the Frisco Workforce Center before networking with a variety of employers and attending workshops.
Job seekers should register with www.connectingcolorado.org before attending.
Workshops include information on college, green jobs and more.
“More than 1,000 individuals are out of work in the Summit County area and job seekers outnumber job openings,” Pettus said in the press release.
