A Colorado Springs man wanted on charges of sexual assault on a child was arrested in Breckenridge Monday evening, according to a statement from the Breckenridge Police Department.
Zachary T. Siegel, 22, who allegedly had sex with a 12-year-old girl he met through Facebook, was taken into custody after local authorities learned that he was at a Breckenridge restaurant. He was arrested inside the restaurant without incident.
He posted a $25,000 bond at noon Tuesday and was released from the Summit County Jail, according to the statement.
Siegel is accused of contacting the girl over the Internet, convincing her to send him nude pictures of herself and then inviting her over to his apartment in Colorado Springs, where they allegedly had sex, according to the arrest warrant.
He was arrested on charges of fugitive of justice and sexual assault on a child.
