FORT COLLINS – Colorado State University President Tony Frank will lead a community outreach visit to Summit County Tuesday, July 20.The visit will include meetings with university staff who work with CSU Extension and the Colorado State Forest Service. Frank will also connect with alumni, government officials, business and community leaders, students, parents and other interested residents. “We are able to learn a lot about the issues facing Colorado’s communities through face-to-face conversations during our outreach trips, and the information gained helps us shape the service and mission of Colorado State University and better serve the people of Colorado,” Frank said. “The needs of Colorado communities are always changing and we are going to continue making these visits to ensure we remain closely connected to the state and its citizens.”An event in Summit County for alumni, community and friends of the university is open to anyone who would like to attend. The event will offer attendees the opportunity to talk with university leadership and provide input on CSU’s impact in the community.There is no cost to attend the event, but reservations are requested. University leaders from the areas of Extension, Agricultural Sciences, Alumni Association, Office of Engagement, Colorado State Forest Service and others will join Frank for the trip. The schedule for public events includes:-11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. – Breckenridge Mountain Rotary. Fatty’s Restaurant, 106 Ridge St., Breckenridge-5:30-7:30 p.m. – CSU Mix & Mingle. Backcountry Brewery, 720 Main St., FriscoThe statewide community tour kicked off last year with stops throughout northwestern, southwestern and southeastern Colorado.
