Ryan Summerlin December 13, 2010
Pug Ryan’s Steakhouse and Brewery in Dillon announced that Governor-Elect John Hickenlooper’s inaugural dinner and ball will feature two of Pug Ryan’s award-winning beers: Morning Wood Wheat and Pali Pilsner. Pug’s Ryan’s brewery is one of 12 Colorado breweries which will have beer featured at the event.
Hickenlooper visited Dillon this summer while campaigning for the governor’s office and had the opportunity to taste the award-winning brews at Pug Ryan’s. Hickenlooper owned several restaurants in the LoDo area of Denver in the late 1980s, before the area’s renewal. He was one of the founders of the original Wynkoop Brewing Company microbrewery.
Pug Ryan’s CEO Travis Holton and his wife, Annie, will be attending the inaugural ball on Jan. 11. “We are honored that our future governor is featuring Pug’s craft beers at the inaugural dinner. We are a small local brewery and take great pride in the brews we create. It is an honor to have Pug’s Morning Wood Wheat and Pali Pilsner featured at the dinner,” Holton said in a recent interview.
Pug Ryan’s Steakhouse and Brewery is located at 104 Village Place in Dillon. For more information, call (970) 468-2145 or visit pugryans.com.
