Four Breckenridge Elementary students to present Washington D.C. experience on Wednesday

Daily News staff report

At 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Breckenridge Elementary alumni Emily Bell, Jack Hurlbert, Littlepage Green and Ridge Stimson will present their experiences as student ambassadors attending a spring People to People Leadership Conference in Washington D.C.

People to People, a nonprofit, aims to further global understanding through cross-cultural exchange.

The students were nominated to attend this program by fifth grade Breckenridge Elementary teacher Deb Snyder. According to the organization’s website, People to People Ambassador Programs offer unique student travel opportunities across the U.S. and around the world.

To share what they learned at the conference, the now sixth-graders will present to the elementary school. All student ambassadors gain behind-the-scenes access to people and destinations, earn academic credit and change their world through travel.
