It doesn’t get more mountain than this.

On July 15, close to 300 athletes of all ages — literally, one of the top finishers was just 17 years old! — came to the Frisco Bay Marina for a tradition in the making: the 4th annual Frisco Triathlon. This non-traditional tri featured a 3K stand-up paddleboard leg, a 12-mile mountain bike leg and a final 5K trail run. The sun was shining, the water was calm and the unconventional field was ready for a day of play on the Frisco Peninsula. Here’s to you, trendsetters.
