Ryan Summerlin July 12, 2012
Bring the kids out for an educational and exciting experience for “Toying with Science” Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge. Presented as part of the Imagination Express Series, “Toying with Science” brings performer Garry Krinsky to Summit County for a look into the imaginations of scientists who explore our world.
“Toying with Science,” first performed in 1995, was created by the Museum of Science in Boston. The show explores the principles of gravity, leverage, fulcrums and simple machines. With Krinsky as the host, “Toying with Science” combines circus skills, mime, original music and audience involvement.
During the show, Krinsky will share the stage and get the audience involved in between original songs, juggling and balancing five ladders on his chin at one time to help demonstrate how to find your center of gravity.
Said to resemble “a living cartoon with his animated movement and nonstop energy,” Krinsky has brought his high energy and experience to thousands of schools, theaters and festivals since 1978. He has also performed on live television, specifically on NBC’s “Today” show.
Imagination Express is a family series presented by the Town of Breckenridge featuring a variety of performances highlighting the best in children’s entertainment.
Tickets for the show are $5 and can be purchased at the Riverwalk Center Box Office, by phone at (970) 547-3100 or online at www.BreckenridgeRiverwalkCenter.com.
