Jeffrey Ferber dies at 59

Jeffrey Ferber, 59, was killed while cycling in Silverthorne May 21, 2004. Originally from New York, he first lived in Leadville and then settled in Frisco.

Jeff worked part-time at Jackson Hewitt as a certified public accountant and was a ski instructor at Copper Mountain for five years. He was also active in many Summit Seniors hiking and biking groups. He enjoyed volunteering at the Backstage Theatre in Breckenridge and the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek. He was a member of the TimberLine Toppers dancing club.

He is survived by his former wife, Diane, his mother, Sophia, and daughters, Karen and Susan all of New York, as well as a brother, Howard of California. A Jewish Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, at the Copper Mountain Chapel.
