Keystone Resort terrain park marks 10-year anniversary with light-hearted event
Ryan Summerlin January 5, 2013
Keystone Resort will begin 2013 with a Jan. 13 tribute to the A51 Terrain Park, which turns 10 this season.
The anniversary showcase will feature a “boxzilla” feature with more than 10 boxes stacked continuously to form a challenging line for skiers and riders to come out and test their skills on. Judges will gauge who has what it takes to snag the top spot by throwing down tricks or staying on the box the longest with the chance to win prizes including gear, goggles, accessories and more. The format will consist of an hour-long jam session giving plenty of time for hot-laps by hiking or taking A51’s designated park lift. The event will feature music, an emcee and swag giveaways for the crowd. The warm-up will run from noon to 1 p.m. The Box-zilla stretches from 1-2. Awards and giveaways begin at 2.
