The Breckenridge Tourism Office recently filled two positions with local talent

In a press release from BTO, the organization said it hired Brett Howard and Leslie Lockhart.

Howard previously worked with advertising agency Wilson Lass and Brandon who have an office in the town, as well as the Breckenridge Ski Resort, has been hired as the director of community services and affairs. He is set to start in the position on Oct. 3.

Bill Wishowski, managing director of business services said he hopes adding Howard to the team will help to take things to a new level in Breckenridge.

“(Howard’s) experience marketing Breckenridge, his passion and knowledge of the community, and his natural ability to develop relationships enabled us to make a tough choice among a competitive group of applicants,” he said.

Lockhart was hired as the director of finance for the organization. Her previous experience at Lucke & Associates as an accountant also makes her a familiar face to the town. She has also worked at Vail Resorts both as an accountant and in human resources. “In addition to her solid financial skill and experience, (Lockhart’s) extensive background in HR will be instrumental in helping navigate the new wage and labor regulations that are affecting many local businesses, including us,” said Lucy Kay, CEO and president of BTO.
