New rounds of floods and flash floods are possible Friday in Colorado as rains continue to plague the area.
Interstate 25 was closed Friday morning between Colorado 7 north of Denver to the Wyoming border because of flooding and swollen rivers, the Colorado Department of Transportation reported.
Colorado State University in Fort Collins is closed today, the campus tweeted.
Fort Collins reported that heavy flooding is occurring from downtown to I-25. The city tweeted, asking people to "stay of all roads at this time." City offices
are closed.Overnight the Larimer Office of Emergency Management closed muliple bridges over the Poudre River because of high water.
In Denver Friday morning, a man walking a dog was sucked down a water culvert near East 13th Avenue and Xenia Street, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman. The man washed out the pipe a few blocks away.
