Obituary: Corinne Bair

Corinne Bair

Corinne Bair, 63, died by her own choice on June 9 of 2016. She had a love for singing and skiing, having sung in the Summit Choral Society for over 20 years. She also sang with her husband, Doug, in the Heart of the Rockies barbershop. She helped create Mountain Majesty Chorus and loved every tight chord. She was a long-time ski instructor both back East and at Keystone and Copper.

She was raised both on the East and West coasts, where she joined her life to the beach and water. She then moved to the mountains of Summit County, where the snow and summers wrapped her in a warm blanket.

In the end, as one of our good friends put it, “She could not find her way out of the darkness.” She left a final note:

“The Depression is too deep!

Let me die

I love everyone

Dylan, Bart, Emma, Colin, you & Ken.”

Though her soul was deeply tortured, she found it in her heart to make a final gift of life, donating her kidneys, so that two people now have a second chance at life.

We all miss you: your sons, Dylan and Bart; your brother, Brian; your husband, Doug. We let you go to find your peace.

Please join Doug in a celebration of Corinne’s life at our house (1111 Rainbow Dr., Silverthorne) on Saturday, July 23. It will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Drop by at any time during those hours. We’ll talk and reminisce together about our love for and fond memories of Corinne.

Goodbye, my love.
