Sally Peel, coordinator Breckenridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner

There’s a bumper sticker that says “Love People, Cook Them Tasty Food.” Well, on Thanksgiving Day there was plenty of tasty food at the community dinner in Breckenridge. A big thank you to everyone who helped. Because of this community effort, over 600 people enjoyed a delicious meal and wonderful company for the holiday.Mi Casa was graciously offered as the location and Dick Carleton, Jen Cawley, Tracey Roach and Bruce Carlton provided their time and expertise to ensure the day would be a success. Also, a big thanks to the staff of Mi Casa who helped, Maggie and Wally Ducayet who picked up needed food and supplies, and Genia Gallagher for assisting with the many details. The outpouring of support was evident when over 130 people volunteered their time to work at the dinner. Finally, a huge thank you to the many restaurants who provided food and their culinary skills: Beaver Run Resort, Blue Moose Restaurant, Blue River Bistro, Breckenridge Brewery, Briar Rose Restaurant, Bubba Gump’s, City Market, Clint’s Bakery, CMC Culinary, Fatty’s Pizzeria, Hearthstone Restaurant, Le Petit Paris, Mi Casa Restaurant, One Ski Hill Grille, Quandary Grill, Relish, Salt Creek Steakhouse and Steak & Rib. Our community is amazing and the support of everyone involved with this event was greatly appreciated!Sally Peel, coordinatorBreckenridge Community Thanksgiving Dinner
