The 22nd annual K94k is Aug. 4 in Frisco from 8 a.m. to noon. If you go online at http://www.summitlaps.com and pre-register, you can save $5 and a lot of time standing in line the day of the event. LAPS members get discounted entry fees to start with, but if we receive your check/registration/rabies proof by Saturday you can save more.Vendor tables of pet-related products, services and free samples will be set up and/or you can watch the agility demo while we wait for race results. The 2.5-mile course circles around Frisco, starting and ending at the gazebo on Main Street and the terrain is easy enough for baby strollers and any “oldsters” both in doggie years and human. Each registration receives a free T-shirt, a dog goodie bag and a chance to win door prizes. Free donuts, Abbey’s coffee and lemonade will be available. We need volunteers, sponsors, prizes and silent auction items. If you can help, email LAPS@colorado.net. You will need to bring a 6-foot leash, proof of current rabies vaccination along with cash or a check. Registration runs from 8-9 a.m. and the race starts promptly at 9:15. The entry fee is per dog.
